The pedigree of the founder

of the breed ⇒ Haflinger ⇐
The Certificate of Origin ⇒ Certificate of Origin ⇐ together with the alphanumeric UHLN system UELN (Universal Equine Life Number) – the life number used to identify the divisions and sections of the organisations maintaining the stud books of origin – the pedigree of the breed’s founder must be confirmed. Shagya-Arabian↗
⇒ The sire’s lineage of 249 Foal can be traced back through the generations to the Shagya-Arabian↗ breed. No OX.arabo Thoroughbred↗ lineage!
⇒ Descent from 999 Anselmo, the founder of the A breeding line, descended from the English Thoroughbred XX stud horse introduced to the Sarntal valley, which brought the steppe horse into the gene pool – a breed that evolved from a running animal adapted to foraging in the barren landscape. In contrast to the OX. purebred Arabian, whose struggle for survival required the search for water.
⇒ The maternal lineage is a hodgepodge of unproven origins tracing back to a breed from Galicia. It retains a remnant of the original wild horse trait, the dorsal stripe, in which genes from its wild ancestors are still recognisable; this has been passed down through the maternal line as a distinctive identifying feature.
